Day four: “Design with swirls”
So, I’m posting this a day late but oh well! This was fun and completely different from what I have been doing so far! I love earthy designs / trees. It is simple but still detailed, and I am pretty happy with the results.
Day 3.5: “Bunny (part two)”
I have been posting my original designs to an album on my Facebook Timeline as well as my blog, and several of my friends gave me constructive criticism. I made the suggested edits to yesterday’s design.
I changed the shadow on the tuft of hair so that the perspective is consistent with the shadows on the feet and carrot top. I also brought the stroke that forms the mouth in front of the teeth. And, finally, I eliminated the carrot flakes from the front of the mouth and just put the eaten carrot in the bunny’s hand.
I like the new design better. The details are minor, but they make a big difference.

This summer, I am going to try to do one design each day. It can be big or small, complex or minimal, but I just want to become a better designer. Well, here it is: the fruits of today’s labor. It isn’t much, but hopefully over time I will improve …
